he McKinney Center is inviting the Jonesborough community to join in celebrating the service of Dr. King by participating in a food drive to support the JAMA (Jonesborough Area Ministerial Association) Food Pantry. The JAMA Food Pantry serves residents holding a Jonesborough, Telford, or Limestone addresses. In particular, the Food Pantry needs:
Brownie or Cake Mix
Cereal, Crackers
Mac & Cheese
Pancake Mix
Skillet Dinners
Syrup
Tuna
Baked Beans
Canned Pasta
Jelly, Peanut Butter
Canned chicken
Cereal, Crackers
Mac & Cheese
Pancake Mix
Skillet Dinners
Syrup
Tuna
Baked Beans
Canned Pasta
Jelly, Peanut Butter
Canned chicken
To donate food items please drop off any items at the McKinney Center until January 16th, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Please help us to feed our community. According to the USDA, “Food supply chain issues and rising food costs have strained individuals and families across the country, highlighting the importance of a strong and resilient emergency food system, which includes organizations such as food banks, soup kitchens, food pantries, and more.” With the need now more than ever for food support, the McKinney Center sees this as an important way to serve the community.
