Michael grew up in the hills of east Tennessee, going first to Elizabethton High School, and later on to Milligan University. At Milligan, he majored in Business Administration, with a minor in Bible. After graduating, he took both a management job at Enterprise Holdings and a worship leadership position at Grace Baptist Church in Elizabethton. He worked in management at Enterprise for just under 5 years before joining the WCQR team as Operations Manager.

Outside of work, Michael enjoys spending time outdoors, playing pick-up sports, day trading, and hanging with friends (particularly when board games are involved.) He is heavily involved in his church where he still leads worship and his small group.
