April 2020 Power Verses
I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.
The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.
You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
“Do not be afraid, Daughter Zion; see, your King is coming, seated on a donkey’s colt.”
“You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.
Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.
He told them, “This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning in Jerusalem.
He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.
“Fear not, I am the First and the Last, and the Living One. I died, and behold I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades.”
…But the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen!”
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.”
Your dead shall live; their bodies shall rise. You who dwell in the dust, awake and sing for joy! For your dew is a dew of light, and the earth will give birth to the dead.
The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
I have swept away your sins like a cloud. I have scattered your offenses like the morning mist. Return to me, for I have paid the price to set you free.
For the Lord takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble in victory.
Jesus replied, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”
Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. Do everything in love.
Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.
Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.
When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
By day the Lord directs his love, at night his song is with me—a prayer to the God of my life.
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.
After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.
Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.”
Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy.
Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow.
Keep me safe, my God, for in you I take refuge.
