WCQR Underwriting Representative
Josh Locklear
Josh Locklear is the Director of Business Development at WCQR and handles all underwriting and sponsorship for the station. Josh joined PAR at the end 2023. He is married to his lovely wife Kelsey and enjoys spending time with his family and church. When he’s not working, Josh also likes anything to do with sports, traveling and exploring new things, and of course spending time with loved ones.
On Air – Why Radio?
Radio is the most widely used medium, making it perfect for getting the word out about your business or organization. Plus, today’s technology allows listeners to use their phones, cars, smart watches, and speakers to tune in. Christian music radio is especially effective because it attracts primarily adults, especially women, who often make or influence most of the family’s buying decisions.
Many of our listeners enjoy WCQR while in the car, often with their children along for the ride. They appreciate the positive, encouraging music that’s safe for young ears in the back seat. The music we play by artists such as MercyMe, Chris Tomlin, Toby Mac, and Lauren Daigle (to name a few!) provides hope and encouragement, even when the world feels like it’s falling apart. This builds audience loyalty, as our listeners are engaged, passionate, and have made WCQR part of their lives.

WCQR is a non-commercial broadcaster, which means we cannot legally air advertising announcements from for-profit entities. Instead, we offer underwriting announcements that make your message part of the grassroots support that keeps WCQR on the air.
In copy custom-crafted to fit your marketing plan, we will thank your organization for supporting us and provide pertinent details about your product or service, including your location(s) and how our listeners can find you.
