24 May JIF Peanut Butter Recall
There has been a salmonella outbreak linked to JIF brand peanut butter and a recall has been issued. There have been several reported contaminated jars in the East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia area.
Jif brand peanut butter
- Sold at stores nationwide.
- Many types and sizes were recalled, including creamy, crunchy, natural, and reduced fat.
- Lot code numbers 1274425 through 2140425, with “425” at the end of the first 7 numbers.

Four of five (80%) sick people reported eating different types of Jif brand peanut butter before getting sick.
